Barclay Moffitt is a saxophonist, composer and educator from Pueblo, Colorado. He began playing professionally at bars and clubs throughout Southern Colorado at thirteen, learning to play melodies and improvise with the local blues, funk, and Tejano musicians. In 2008, Barclay received the prestigious Presidential Scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
He spent his formative professional years in Chicago, IL, performing with local jazz stars at Andy's Jazz Club, Kingston Mines, The Whistler, Constellation, as well as being in the house big band at the famous Green Mill Jazz Club. Barclay has toured and performed at jazz clubs and festivals across the nation - the Detroit Jazz Festival, the B Town Jazz Fest, the Palm Springs International Jazz Festival and the Chicago Jazz Festival.  
Barclay currently resides in Los Angeles, CA and plays at the Sam First Jazz Club, Herb Alpert's Vibrato Jazz Grill, The Blue Whale, and the legendary Baked Potato amongst others. While in LA, he has recorded and performed with a variety of great musicians such as the Bill Holman Big Band, Bob Mintzer Big Band, country/rock star Grace Potter, and drummer composer Ringo Starr of the Beatles.  Barclay is a candidate to receive a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Southern California.
